Hello everyone! My name is Richard Okello Lukiko, the Executive Director Co Founder of Nwoya Charity Foundation (NCF), based in Uganda.
Nwoya Charity Foundation (NCF) is a registered charity nonprofit-NGO based in Nwoya District, Northern Uganda. It was Founded in 2019 by with the aim of giving hope and transforming lives of orphans, women and youth faced with extreme poverty, exploitation and abuse from the community where they live.
The organization is established with the mission of to Empower, support and positively transform the lives of extremely vulnerable persons through holistic approach of poverty relief, educational support, climate change and health services to become healthy, educated, self-sustaining and contributing members of society.
Through our core programs, we support women (caregivers), girls, boys and youth to learn new skills and start businesses, meet urgent and basic protection needs of their families, orphans especially girls access quality education, community live in a health environment by drinking safe water, train the youth with necessary vocational training skills like tailoring, hair dressing and briquette making. Every year, will serve over 1,000 youth, caregivers, women and the youth in Northern Uganda.
Nwoya Charity will archive this mission through capacity building of vulnerable women and youth, building and strengthening existing women and youth grassroots structures as well as providing access to opportunities for their increased participation and survival.
NCF’s inspiration is to see a society where vulnerable and marginalized women, caregivers and youth including children / girls realize their fundamental human rights and have equal opportunities in all spheres of life. We also envisage a society where vulnerable women and youth including children are free from sexual and gender-based violence and empowered to make right choices in accordance with their needs and aspirations. We also envisage a society where vulnerable women and youth including refugees and displaced persons are free from harm, discrimination and abuse.
