Can the DR Congo electoral commission overcome daunting challenges a week before elections?

Staging elections is a daunting challenge in a country roughly the size of continental western Europe which suffers from a lack of key infrastructure. Some 44 million Congolese are set to cast ballots in the DRC on Dec. 20, in concurrent presidential, parliamentary provincial and municipal polls.
