Dakar court to rule on Ousmane Sonko's eligibility on December 14

A judge announced on Tuesday (Dec. 12) at the end of a hearing in Dakar that the verdict in the eligibility case for imprisoned opposition politician Ousmane Sonko will be handed on Thursday (Dec. 14). A positive ruling is essential for Sonko to stand in the February 2024 presidential polls.
