DRC: Matata Ponyo tried in default for embezzlement

The Constitutional Court of the Democratic Republic of Congo decided Monday to judge "by default" the former Prime Minister and presidential candidate Augustin Matata, prosecuted for alleged embezzlement of public funds, as part of a second trial in the same affair.
