Criminal gang violence is spreading to rural areas in Haiti and is now impacting food production, a recent UN report found. The UN top humanitarian official in Haiti gave a bleak update on the nation on Dec.07. A UN-backed force, led by Kenya, has been greenlit but could take months to deploy.
