UN Sudan sanctions committee warns of targeted measures

The committee reminded the parties that those who commit violations of international humanitarian law may be subject to targeted sanctions. Sudan's envoy to the UN Security Council called for an end to the sanctions saying it would allow "the Sudanese government to better protect its civilians".
